please please PLEASE buy a watch from a company who MAKES watches - not a fashin lable
never seen why anyone would want a D&G or Armani watch - you would not wear a rolex pair of shoes or jacket so why wear a Armani watch?
IMO

I like that Andy. Very unusual, a bit like something from 2001 a Space Odysey.
If it didn't have D&G in big letters on the face, I think i'd have one.

Sam, I love you.
You have impeccable taste in timepieces sir.
They do a mad square digital thing that I want, but I think it's pant wettingly dear.

I wouldn't recommend buying more that one automatic watch in a lifetime...the concept sounds great, but:-
mine broke twice in the first 12 months.
It wasn't very accurate when i first got it (gained a couple of minutes one day then lost them the next)
As for the servicing costs more than the car

Got a few automatics in the house.
2 of them are from not the best of brands and are 30+ years old and still going strong.
Servicing can cost a bit depending on make but only needs done roughly every 5 years.
No mechanical watch will ever be as accurate long term as a 10 pound quartz but they very in accuracy depending usually on money spent and are more accurate than quartz over short periods of time.
