That's what i did with mine. Put it on top, and it rooted itself.

What fish are you planning to get?

I'll go along to the fish shop and ask them what they recommend for me to start off with! Then pick whichever ones I like the look of the best out of the ones they recommend...

I have a couple of Silver sharks. They are nice placid fish. Also, flying foxes are nice.

I did have about 30 neon tetras, 30 bleeding heart tetras and 30 glowlights. That looked cool, as they all stay in groups.

The worst i've found for nipping and being a pain in the arse are red tailed black sharks and cichilids.

Both were in the tank for 4 weeks, then i gave them to a mate.

Any fish out there that are shark look-alikes?

Getting a Fluval Duo Deep 1200 at the end of the month as pet at home are doing it with a stand for about £280 including heater, lights, filter etc.

Adam, is that 1200 litres? If so, thats bloody cheap.

Silver sharks are meant to look like sharks, bit of a dodgy look a like. I have two of these. Nice fish.

It's 216 litres, called the 1200 as it's 1200mm wide

Ah right.

Fair size then. Mine is 180 litres, and it's plenty. A mate of mine has a 400 litre.

When he changes the water, it takes him abour 3 hours.
