I'm ion the exact same position, I have £2.5k max and fancy a 106 gti next, I was lookin at the 205 but there too dated now imo

Corsa Sport 1.6 with a inlet

Personally i would either get one of them or a pug 106 gti.

Wouldnt get a mint MR2 for your budget

and i dont see the point in getting a phase 1 VTS over a 106GTi, the styling is light years apart
