I think everyone's taking Greg's word that it's making £40 a day I think that's bullshit. Maybe it makes £40 on one day, but then on another day only makes 10p etc.
As already said, if it was making 15k a year, then A ) you wouldn't be considering selling it for a low £5000, B ) you wouldn't always be saying it's not really working out and thinking of packing it in and C) it 's just not making 15k a year.
Down the bottom it says hits today 60, average days hits 121. I'd imagine it's at 60 today as everyone would of viewed your site today.
121 hits - = £40? unless your making £40 by actually selling the items yourself out of your garage then that's total crap.
More likely you'll be lucky to make £5k a year with it the guy offering you 5k knows this and thus his offer is generous. Sell it, take his offer and take a % of any profits. IF (Big IF) he some how makes it into the next ebay, then your % will leave you sitting pretty on a nice couple of mil anyway
If he doesn't then oh well you have 5k.

Cheers for the comments guys.
He is currently buying another auction site that has over 8k members for $33,000
He also owns his own auction site that has 800 members and doesn't do too bad but it's very USA based.
Basically what he wants to do / what I suggested is the following.
* He buys my site
* He buys the other 2 sites
* He uses the url for the other site that is in the top pages on ALL search engines
* He uses my skin as it lokos best by a long way
* He adds all the members together then there is over 12,000 members and you should be looking healthy
I then suggested I would run it from the UK and he could from the USA, that meaning there would be 24hr support with the time difference.

Greg please tell me how your site is making 15k a year?
How does your site make money? from fee's? well its free to list and only costs like 1 or 2 pence if you want say a image or underlined text etc.
1 or 2 p ... £40 a day = 2000-4000 new adverts / auctions a day. Your total site doesn't seem to have any more than 800 total.
Ok so you have a couple of things like if you have a store on your site and you do have a banner at the top that looks like it would be paying say 0.001 p a day.
how does your site make 15k a year?

EVERYTHING ELSE IS FREE !
I think I counted about 24 stores.
so that's £24 a month.
like 3 adverts (assuming they paid this amount) at £100 a YEAR. so £300 / 12 = £25
now most auctions are free, assuming you get say 100 auctions a day (no idea) half put a bit of bold text or a underline 2p
£2 a day * 30 = £60.
So I work out the site makes Approx £60 + £50 a month. = £1320 a year. Considering people were saying offers for buying sites should be around 5x yearly income. Then seems about bang on with 5k offer Note this is only income estimate, and doesn't take into account of cost of the site, cost of hosting or cost of advertising your site!
£110 / 30 = £3.67
Real money made each day ~ £4 if lucky
Bullshit money made each day ~ £40 - Yeh right.

So some American that "claims" to be a Nascar team owner wants to buy your tiny insignificant auction site for £5k, yet you say you make 15k a year.
Why on earth are you even contemplating loosing 10k
I also don't see how you're making this 15k a year by the way.
What is it you actually own? The domain name? I assume the site is hosted by an ISP.

i think its more likelyl that he isnt making as much money as stated and he probably has been offered 5k for the business so thats why he wants to sell. As 5k maybe a good price for the current site.

Its registered to a company that doesn't use your details for the register.
A quick google would have shown you that.
