Just look for any thread which is in any way related to jobs or money and you'll usually find a full explanation in each one.

well, at the moment i own a 1.4 16v corsa, the 170bhp gsi on throttle bodies, a 1999 corsa 2 litre 16v and a 2001 seat leon. I also invest most of my money, well about £1000 a month into shares and i have my own house which im looking to pay most of my mortgage off within the next 5 years. also have a kid and family etc... and like to spend money whenever i want

im not interested in posh cars etc... I have a nice house would rather put the money into my future. I hope to be mortgage free by the age of 30 and have enough money from my investments to be able to live worry free for as long as possible.

is that wrong?

At last count I was over 100k into debt, but that is a mortgage so I doubt it counts as it's hardly overdraft - could you imagine the overdrawn fees on that if it was?! lol

modding cars isnt an investment...... its fun

my investments dont include cars, i invest about £1000 a month into shares and pensions etc... Its easier than you think to get good returns, for a £1000 investment a month you can easily see a 25% return.

Potentially I could have £1500 interest free. Theoretically I could move all of that into my ISA and start making 'free' money off of it. Not sure on doing it though.

I'm not sure on how much I would get... If it's only for an extra £5-£10/month then it isn't really worth it. I don't like being in the red really.

it's money for nothing though. Its only something like 140 quid for the year with a maxed out 3000 ISA but its for nothing, and you can take cash out at anytime by banking on-line, you can switch cash over instantly to another account with the same bank if you are ever desperate.

my overdraft is 2100, back when i had the corsa i was always maxing it out but sold the corsa and got a loan for the GSI and sorted all my finances out, still owe about 2k on credit cards but that interest free so just paying it off bit by bit!

got half a mortgage aswell so at least investing in that way and 150 a month goes into company shares which start paying out next year and should be a 2-4K booster a year

Don't think of it like that. If you can guarantee that the 1500 quid will be available for a set time frame, ie. two years, then at the end of that two years you can cash you ISA in for probably 300-400 profit. If someone said to me that they were going to give me 400 quid in two years and all I had to do was have the money in the right places I personally would do that.
