Scorpians are scarier than spiders though. Finding one of those in my bed is probably my worst nightmare!

My brother used to have a red knee turantular. It got loose one day and he couldnt find it. It was missing for a couple of days and then he woke up one morning with it on his pillow!!! haha. I had the pleasure of wking him up to see his face when he realised, lucky i noticed or it could have ended up in his mouth like the movies!!

Those spiders you seen in the pics are Camel Spiders, the lads out there in Iraq are always having organised fights with them for fun, these things are brutal. Was only a few months ago a chinook came back from Iraq with one of those things hiding in the airframe!

i fancy a Golith spider for the other side if i split the tank it 2 , theres the world largest spiders

there abit like snakes everyone thinks there going to be wet and shit.
[Edited on 04-04-2006 by BeArDy]
they are largest spiders by mass, but we frequently get Huntsmans with those dimensions

I remember when i was 13 my mate had a Taranchula, and two snakes. One day the Taranchula got loose and they couldn't find it- so they moved house!!

I'd have said the same but considering i actually saw him move house the proof was right infront of my eyes!

I hardly think their main motive for moving house was because a large spider was on the loose.
Having said that, if that was my house, i'd rather sleep with a gypsy than sleep in the house
What i would have done was spent the night at a mates, and got the RSPCA to check round the house and catch it.
BTW did they tell the estate agents selling the house there was a spider on the loose?

thinking of splitting the tank into 2 and getting another one.
looks ace then the lights on and its dark, it walks along the side of the tanks and puts a 3 foots shadow of a spider on the walk
yeah i would split it into two, as thats loads of room for one spider, normallythey would have a small territory

Nice specimen, I saw some real monsters in the Pernambucano region of Brazil when I was a little kid, they don't bother me now but they used to, it's only when you get in the comfort zone with them that you relax and realise they aren't that bad unless they could murder a KFC and your the only living meat in a 10 mile radius.

Agreed, I think it's the shape that puts people off, but I'm more fearful of my ex girlfriend as once she gets her fangs in she injects a more poisonous venom (excuse the pun).
