thats not true, the 1.8gt etc came with the 4 slot grille, which was from '83 on, the manta b was a 2 slot grille, and the mk1 cavalier had no slots.

Just been looking at it, couldn't take it out out as he wouldn't go out in the rain. It ran fine and he says it drives fine.

Went straight through the MOT he says. It has been mostly restored by the previous owner, new sills and welding, new boot, etc which looks to have been done properly. There was some surface rust on the floor but it has been ground out, welded and undersealed to make sure. there has also been welding on the offside chassis but it seems sound and all undersealed. Looks all sound underneath and there was no fresh oil on the floor to suggest any leaks.

There is some slight bubbling on the rear arches and also a bit on the door on the passenger side, also there is some rust at the bottom of the A-pillars (looks like its been bogged) and its started to come through again.

The inner wings seem fine as does the panel between the headlights and bonnet. Also the Quad headlights are plastic iirc. There is a mark on the pain on top of the front grille and a rust bubble on the corner of the bonnet near the headlight.

Sorry no pics though as my Dad has my camera

sod the mantas you want a monza adam! phil from just novas and corsas is selling this one (copied from local site)

"Right i want rid of my opel monza 1985. Its a 3.0lt GSE, manual gearbox. Has hydraulic suspension fitted which is independant to each wheel not the kits that just do one side at a time. Comes with about 6 forklift batteries in the boot with four pumps or what ever they are 9 one for each wheel ect..)

Only problem is it doesnt run now, not getting a spark and the injectors arent firing, tried everything but dont have the time to be messing with it, it also has about 6months mot left but no tax, front bumper is cracked not shown in pic.

Open to some kind of sensible offers."

Unless someone's bolted the GTE stuff on standard Mantas, they are all GTEs AK.
