Indeed, but by that token a single ticket at £1 is bad value indeed, as you are unlikely to get your pound back. You might get a tenner, and you might get a few hundred, and you might get grands and grands, but its all unlikely.
300 tickets for £300 gives you 300 opportunities in the same draw, which is actually better than playing, for example, a tenner for 30 weeks.
