deary... its hard to tell from the picture but it just looks like small cosmetic damage... new bumper and some headlights.... however if the engine is pushed back it may be more seriously damaged...

sam as soon as i seen the thread title i kinda new what was up poor car..

Well to be honest its his insurance company that will be paying for the damage, even if it doesnt cover the modified parts their always replaceable.

all the mods are insured via my insurance, but im not sure if his insurance cover them?

I would think it will do. Its a bit off if his insurance wont repair it with the same parts but seen as though you have them insured I would imagine that it will be repaired like for like

I mainly went today to make sure they didn't damage the car when they moved it and to make sure it was secure etc.

I too didn't think it was that bad but this is the first time ive seen it in the light since the accident happened.

I'm pretty sure it will be written off but ill be paying privatly to get it fixed if the insurance company won't.

whats the insured value?

I dont think it will be written off , once the slam panel is out the way and you can see round a bit better.

its similar to what my doesy ex wench did to jases old corsa and they didnt write that off (ok i know it was slightly newer and that)

saw the car myself when this happened, it looks worse than it actually is, should repair pretty easily, funnily enough at the accident the taxi driver was very quiet....

oh bugger. hope it all goes ok with the insurance for you tho. alltho it might be hard with you running into the back of him.

hope its only the engine mountings broke and nothing major with the engine, alltho by looking at it i'd say the exhaust manifold is prob fooked

from my experience it doesnt look like a rite off and if its his insurance paying for it they hav to put it back to how it was ie not standard
