ive been been in a fto gpx manual fto... ok car i suppose felt a little soft to me in the passenger seat in the bends... and i'd expect more from a 2.0 v6... in fact i took its owner out in my lightly tuned 1.6 corsa straight afterwards and he asked me several time what engine was under the bonnet think he was a bit shocked to be honest...

and no bfore anyone says its i'm not saying my corsa was faster than the fto but it wasnt THAT far behind...

Im changing mind about these, they can look fcuking awesome with some tasteful styling mods.

Still remember the comment by EVO though, its always stuck. "Looks like it should be chasing 911`s but in reality it keeps up with mondeos".

then post them on here

then i will have a shot

Integra DC2 0-60 6.2 145mph
FTO 0-60 7.2 140mph

Not sure on the stats 0-100 but the Teg will be quicker.

Mr nut don't do it. Mates got a 95 black mivec fto (tip) and it soooo doesn't feel like 200bhp sounds lovely and looks quite good but have seen how many are around the wirral these days 9all black aswell for some reason ) fuel consumption aint good, neither is the insurance considering the performance, hold value well but also expensive to repair, mates just had a new alternator cost him £400 fitted.

lightly- much bhp you got???? how much is lightly?? as a 2.0ltr xed corsa runs mid 14s-15s and a bog standard fto runs very low 15s over a quarter mile,,and im pretty sure oin an open road youd get minced by a gr never mind a gpx

fto's are good cars.

i used to have one, you need to go for a manual as the tips are sluggish early on. the GR is the better engine and are just as quick to 60 as gpx.

They are pretty quick after 60 and wouldn't be far off my elise, as for the comment about getting a clio 182. I'd go for the 182 if you can live with the chav imagae, saying that the fto is more chav than ever nowadays plus there are to many of the fcukers about now!!. 182 is an Awesome all round car for the money!!!

GR is no way in hell the better engine been in one and it couldnt hold a candle to my GPX was like driving a v-tec honda thats not working right ,tips are quicker through the gear changes but has poorer 0-60 times due to being an auto and not holding any revs before you boot it so its like an off -off switch either bogs down or lights up and its a 50-50 gamble which

182 is french so will break down long before the jap car

end of the day ftos are hitting 11 year old now and are still very very reliable machines but like all older cars in that league (integra dc2,civic ek9,fiat turbos) the newer generation kicks there ass,, astra VXR anyone

My best mate bought one about 3 years ago and has no end of problems with it. Isnt even fast considering the power its holding. Am impressed how well it accelerates after 100 and how stable it is at higher speeds though.

The FTO is a car you buy to make girls think your loaded, they think its a sports car he gets laid, done deal

FTO - Looks like a Ferrari, Drives like a Mondeo

Yeah I know am sure theres better ones out there.

air conditioning units gone twice and the condenser (sp) has gone once to start with, loads of other stuff spent loads fixing it, put a veiside kit on and 18's, dvd player etc..

gotta be cheaper ways to get a shag does look nice with alloys and kit tho

air con is a common fault as its a self lubricating unit and if not used quite often it packs in

i gotta agree with the alloys and kit bit though as i do love mine
