Yeah cos they all think they are catholic's ?!
As it happens, Celtic had 'Never walk alone" first and Liverpool and Celtic have a joint bind, especially when it comes to youth academies.
C'mon Greggy whats wrong with ya today pal?
Most true Celtic fans are catholic, Celts were a catholic heritage and origin.

Agreed! Serie A comes close too, a lot of good South American stars in Spain at the moment, Ronaldo de Assis Moreira (Ronaldinho) turned Man Utd down because he speaks Spanish/Portuguese and would find it hard in England.

And Rangers fans think they are English
To be honest they are both Average teams, they play in a league where apart from the old firm no team either has the investment/support to put a decent title challange. Before anyone bangs on about them both playing English teams and wining, they are one off derby games in which they have a chance to prove themselfs, English teams have nothing to gain in these type of games, where as everyone gets all excited about Rangers/Celtic beating an English team.
You only have to look at the European record of both teams over the past 10 years to see they cant cut it on a regular occasion, and lets face it, any league in which John Hartson can be one of the top scorers aint gunna be the best is it.

scottish teams record against english opposition is rather good...
typical attitude from ppl down south that scottish football is a joke, so self centered and narrow minded and can't see outside of england.
I like english football, i like watching it, but honestly the premeirship is worse than the scottish prem as it's a one horse race, league is over before xmas....great fun, least there is a few teams fighting it out in scotland..
unless somebody can come in and match chelsea's millions nothing is going to change...
[Edited on 21-10-2005 by mav]
To be fair tho the Scots prem is an always hgas been a 2 horse race... not much better than a 1 horse race

The thing that the Englsih need educating about is the fact that if Celtic and Rangers were to be put into the English premier, they'd both have more money than any other team, Celtic are the biggest club in the UK at the moment but would Ronaldo or Henry ever want to play in the SPL? No so they money cold be into it's billions, it's still not going to do anything for the 2 clubs.

I agree with that 100% mate. All the title contenders over the past few years have fallen by the way side for whatever reason, there is a lack of youth coming through in the Premiership as everyone buys from abroad.
Lower league football is where it is at in England these days

English people seem to just slag scottish football without actually having a clue.
And as for the replies in here a lot of people have shown themselves up as being uneducated in general.

They have more money than people think, they just can't spend it on top class players as they won't go to Celtic Park due to their league standards, mind you Man Utd have taken on Glaziers debts, suppose Wycombe are bigger than them now

this is very true and testimant to the attitude of celtic fans, no matter how shit there team plays they always ahve a full crowd
I agree the premier league is a two horse race, Hearts and Celtic
And further more this is the worst Rangers side I've ever seen in my 14 years of watching football
