Where did you take it to be RR?
may take the bucket there will make 270bhp
jokes aside mate, i wouldent take them results as ture, get it to a proper RR where they know what there doing, i have seen alot of clowns and silly high results ( Stus 2.1 on TB doing 300bhp when it was 220bhp Dave's 1lt 12v doing 98bhp when it was standard)
take the trip to a well known high class place.
i only go off Northampton Motorsport, they setup the bucket and its runs like a dream.......

So i think he has got it wrong and its around 175bhp at the wheels
Do you think that would be more realistic!!!
alot better mate
he prob dident think you mean differant between at the fly and at the wheels, 175 sounds about right i would say.
as your still on standard inlet system, and to get over that you need to get rid ie carbs Trottle bodys etc etc

just cos you get a good 1/4 mile dosent mean the power of the engine, i could be the worlds worst drive in my bucket at he could get a 17's 1/4 for example dosent mean the car is not fast means the driver can not handle it.

yes
but i said standard ce;s not one with the work youve had carried out
meaning as youve had more worked carried out, yours will be faster
mine was mearly a rough guestimate into the worlds of xe'd corsa 1/4 miles, and should not be take to seriously

id say 175bhp at the fly, then with transmission loss of say 30% youd be looking at 130 bhp ish at wheels

It does seem a bit suspect 200 at fly and only 150 lb ft of torque
I know that cams generally reduce torque and shift it up the power band... so you end up with say peak power at 7500 rpm and a much higher power amount, but overall lower peak torque....
but in your case this hasn't happened, you made peak power at 6000 rpm
Thus it's the biggest pile of poop.
Do you know where your car made peak torque?
175 at fly sounds about right imo - including what you got down the 1/4...

I know everyones slated you mate, but i really do feel there suspect results at the standard afm wont be able to produce that much power, id take 175 bhp at the fly as the result i think that will be about right

Your 1/4 mile time is very good! That must have been a perfect launch. Are you running an LSD and where did you do the runs?
My old Corsa was a stripped out and caged 2.1 on throttle bodies with all the usual mods including headwork and some internal work. That made 181bhp at the wheels IIRC? (5 years ago so a bit hazy)? About 210-215 at the fly.........that was at 7750rpm as well.
I think it ran late 13's/low 14's on the quarter and the best 0-60 was a nats cock under 6 seconds.......5.9 or summat?
The figures people state for mods are very hit and miss to be honest, more importantly its how well they work together that matters. I would have said that the mods you had would make about 170bhp. Before my car had the throttle bodies it had cams, head, induction, exhaust, chip, overbore, pulleys etc etc and granted it had a fuelling problem at low revs, it only made 172bhp.
Ive had my P1 on a few rollers and its made evryting from 300bhp to over 340bhp ! So when I quote my power figure I always go in the middle.

I was suspect of the result as well!! For the mods i was expecting around 175-180bhp, so about rite!!!
