yeah its quite simple really, flights inbound from the states always hang around Reading/Slough on one of the outer holding areas until brought in by ATC, this is an A340 (Virgin i suspect) on its way into Heathrow.

Richard, this is an interesting one for you. Saddam Intl Airport, aircraft on the left is an Iraqi Air 747SP, which hasnt been airworthy since 1991 when the yanks went in. its still there, and slowly rotting away. only a few of these rare 747's left.
