something isn't right about them for me

don't like the fact its a tarted up version of what was originally a family hatchback made by vauxhall

they just don't appeal to me

imo vauxhall made them to be a quick seller to make a tidy profit with no real substance gone into it

Bit like limited edition orange Kit Kats - they are nice and almost a collectors item but they still leave you hungry for more.

I think they are fully ace, I'd buy one over a normal Coupe and I wouldnt say 0-60 in 7.2 seconds as standard is exactly 'slow'

it depends what you lot are defining as 'fast' imo bbc

my 1.2 will do 0-60 in around 12secs...

for me anything around 7secs would be fast.

What does everyone think?

at the end of the day hes looking at gettin an astra turbo and is wondering that for an extra 500 is it worth getting an 888, and i think most here would agree its worth as it would hold more value and u dont see many of them about.
get it brought.

trust me the Astra Coupe 888 Turbo is disappointinlgy slow, not slow as in 1.2 8v slow but slow compared to what it looks like, and should be, even the reviews state this

Saw a caged up G60 Corrado with a big air intake on the bonnet last night.... it whined like a bitch and absolutely flew out of Jarman Park when he left...

think we're missing the point here....

if you had the choice between 2 cars, the regular turbo or the 888 for £500 extra would you go for it?

I would because of all the extras

Could of had a smaller belt pulley on the SC

My guess would be uprated though, as the car litterally jumped over a speed bump, the back end squatted down and off it went. Looked the same sort of pace as my mates M3 evo as it torque steered down the road!

Why do people keep going on about the performance of the LCR? If you look on the seat site, the 225 version, only hits 60 in 6.9, and does 150 top end . Its also more expensive to buy, is a hatchback, and not a coupe, and is insurance group 17, which is quite high .

Dunno about you , but dont think i could notice 0.3 seconds difference to 60. Also ive read reports that the Z20 engine has a big dirty flat torque curve from 1500rmp onwards, and, ive experienced for myself that it pulled like a train in the Asta GSi my mate test drove .
