better specced but its gm parts meaning its shoot.
cheaper maybe but people dont buy cars they go finance meaning it doesnt matter if its cheaper at the start to buy but if u lose less money on it coming to resale then the m3 is better.
paying for a name. its not like clothes, u paying for a car that IS better, BUILT better and is an all round better car, and thers prob no car journalist who would pick a monaro over an m3

guessed wrong matey!
not driven the monaro, but had plenty of first hand experience of an M3 Evo, and an E46 M3, and they just sound tinny and empty... no deep rumble... im sure others will agree!
"cheaper maybe but people dont buy cars they go finance meaning it doesnt matter if its cheaper at the start to buy but if u lose less money on it coming to resale then the m3 is better. "
^ never heard so much bollocks in my life!
Im not saying the Monaro is built as well as an M3, or as involving as the M3 to drive, but its not miles away from it either!! The spec list is impressive, and your comments on GM parts are total rubbish.
Its another performance bargain from vaux, which wont be realised untill its too late!! Lotus carlton was a prime example, deemed a thug by the journalists, yet it still holds its own with most of todays performance cars!

BTW, the Monaro VXR will get you to 180mph, far far away from M3

plus the diff between the m3 and a monaro is the risdual vlaue that the monaro will b worth fook all ina few years cos at the end of the day its still a vaux. altho its resasonably good looking its has nufin over the m3, not in looks build quality anything.
i think you are wrong pal, in a few years, monaros are going to be worth shit loads
Exactly!! this was the point I was trying to make with the lotus carlton example

that is an extraordinarily shallow comment. You have not been in either, but are willing to dislike one because it comes under the GM stable, even though its not even made in the states or Europe

and the last time i checked, GM was the largest car company on earth, so im not sure i understand the not well known part of your criticism.

i think your impression would change if you were to be a passenger inside a Monaro VXR from standstill up to 180mph
