If your quite lanky and thin then lift light weights and slow reps.

He is probably comparing his self to an average Joe rather than a power lifter.
I'm skin/toned and stronger than the average Joe too but still struggle to put weight on.

super si your ego seems to be bigger than ur biceps... i was comparing myself to like crazyC says the average joe. i do a VERY physical job, n although u may be able to do bench press 100Kg i bet u wud be fucked after doin an hour of my job.

i dont consider myself to be a body builder n its not what i wanna be i just wanna feel better about myself. im 6ft5 n only 12stone but i curl about 15Kg wen my mates struggle to do 10KG etc that is how i mean strong.

i also seem to be able to do weights etc all day long, where alot of people fade out... i have no trouble in doin. tis weird. i canna put on weight either crazyC

sound just like me, i'm 6ft 2 and weight 11 and a half.
I curl like 18kg dumbbells and bench press 28kg dunbells with is utter shite compared to alot of guys in the weights area, but if you asked someone off the street to do it they would more than likely struggle.

what makes me laugh is them that can lift massive weights but would be fucked if they ran over 100 metres. How can people neglect the more important muscle of all is beyond me.

hmmm 6 months i hit 200kg deadlift, 170 squat. benching/pressing isnt my strong point!

depends on genetics and how you respond really.
Db press isnt bad,im presuming thats chest and not shoulders?

Wasn't aimed at you, as i don't know you or your training at all. Aim at the people i see and no doubt the thousands around the country that do naff all cardio and all weights. Without thought for their heart.
