This is the comment that crops up a lot which really gets me. People will rant and rant and complain about this and that then when push comes to shove and they get their chance to make a difference by voting they dont.

Please, if you're going to quote me please quote exactly what I have said...

"As for the election - I have no care to be perfectly honest, in my opinion they are all as bad as each other."

I have no care as in my opinion they are all as bad as eachother, therefore nothing would be gained by voting for one over another.

I sometimes wonder whether the government would be better off dumping the NHS sp tp speak... go to a more continental system (like in america as well) of insurance etc... i dont know the ins and outs but still... also perhaps think about privatising associated with insurance...

U work for the NHS Luke, what do u think?

No as it would be unfair there if you are seriuos ill you can't work and can't afford alot, therefore your insurance will be high and you could not pay.

The way it is now where everone covers the cost is the fairest and most proactive way of doing it.

Have thought about that a fair bit and if I'm honest I'm not sure which I think is better

Here when an Ambulance pulls up the guys jump out and say "Hi buddy, what's your name? How you doing down there" In America they say "Are you insured"

I think if this country were to go for an insured scheme they would have to have a serious rethink about taxes and pensions etc....the money elderly folks get wouldn't even cover the daily medication they need.

While ever the NHS benefits the government as a tax (money) making revenue I don't think they will change it.

Do you think they fought so that smarmy little fuckers in suits could bitch & whine all day about at each other & the political parties they each represent? I think not

I don't see the point in voting just for the sake of it

People who vote BNP need to really think about what they are doing, not that those idiots will ever get in power though, but still... Think about it 4 years down the line for a minute.

People who don't vote need to remember that some countrys don't allow thier citizens to vote. If it's your view that all the people who are standing for election are knobs go write 'Blair is a knob' or 'Fuck pollitics' on your ballot paper, at least you're expressing one of your rights of living in a free country.

Only works if you pay into it, if you are down on your lucky and homeless and say get knocked over by a car you not going to have insurance and poorer people would be less likey to pay for it as they can not afford it.

To be fair the NHS is not as bad in my experance as papers make out.

I'm all for elections and voting for what is right etc but I fail to see any benefit in voting when all the candidates are as bad as each other.

Thats your opinion and i respect it,but our government is no different from any others in that respect, the suits do the talking and the bears do the working.

Yeah i hate the fact as well, but its the reality of the situation and by not voting, even if its for the lesser of the evils, then you've gave in and thats the demise of the poeple of this country.
