Don't forget though that there are two types of people who take drugs. Drug users & Drug abusers.
I hate people who feel that they depend on drugs in the same way that I hate people who depend on benefits & make no effort to change their ways despite their circumstances. Burgalry & shoplifting, stealing cars etc are often due to the fact that people are wanting to purchase drugs.
Drug users are the people who take them on a more recreational basis. Although the money will be going into funding many other illegal goings on, I don't really class this type of drug use as a major problem.
As for what Dean said in the 1st post- How big do you think prisons are? How would we pay for this? Do you not think that people will be more determined not to get caught & maybe take things too far if they were confronted?
In an ideal world we would have enough space & money for anyone convicted of a crime. We do not live in an ideal world...

just recently think it was in isreal ( sp) some sicko abused young boys he got lashed and then hung now why cant we have justice like that here, i would love to see what sort of system we have in this world in 500 years time if theres out left of it
another good one the government decides to spend our millions/billions to go to war yet they put a small faction of money to natural disasters where ppl have died etc
why cant we have some sort of leader with abit of common sense if the current plans arent working why carry on, crime is increasing,murders its a total joke
i might go live in the jungle and live like our ancestors did

Too true. I've lived with many people who used to like a splif (or two), and to be honest if you were to suggest that they go out and mug a granny, they probably couldn't be arsed...!
Drug related crime may well be linked to the lack of drugs (and the attempt to get them) than the effects of the drugs themselves.
Recreational drugs are fine by me. After all, I love a pint after work sometimes.

well aware of that and a neighbour of mine was very lucky he had over 50 kilos of weed in his house last wednesday police raided his house and found nothing on monday went back down tuesday there was a bar of hash lying on his kitchen counter
Managed to get a 1/4 of him for a few joints so just off for one now

Drugs have been around for years and always will be!!! Id rather give it a bash and see what the thrill is about them than pretend they don’t exist and think I know what im talking about because of some bullshit some teacher or politician would like me to believe!!!
Hmmmm I wonder if in years to come the government will drum into us from an early age that driving is really really bad for us and we will die, as a solution to ease congestion
