The Imitation Game - 8/10

Bit old but I enjoyed it, got really drawn in and was shocked when they unplugged the machine

Submarine - Bit weird, bit slow, doesn't really go anywhere. Surprisingly disappointing.

American Hustle: 9/10

First third of the movie is slow and particularly painful and a little bit over stylised in the way Holywood can't do period films. BUT stick with it. Because it is absolutely fucking amazing. Story is good but some of the best character portrayal I've seen. Ridiculous but entirely believable.

I hate the 70's as a period, but I can put up with as much hairy-orange-brown and purple perms as they can throw at me. Brilliant.

Iron Sky 6/10

Good, entertaining and suitably ridiculous B movie. If you like SyFy films you'll like it

I think ive been spoiled too much by the walking dead, the strain etc and its too easy to compare.
99% of the film is set around the house/back yard and its purely about the familys emotions dealing with an infected girl.
Theres no attacks, no further outbreaks, no unexpected killing, just a bit too action-less for me.

13 Assassins - 7/10

To be honest, you don't even need to read the subtitles the fight scenes are brilliant.

Spooks The Greater Good - 4/10 - Always thought the TV series was pretty reasonable but this seemed very amateur and more of a milking exercise. Certainly not worth spending money to see this

Jupiter Ascending - 3/10 - All show and no go. The casting isn't too bad and cinematography and CG is reasonable but it's massively let down with a weak story.

Prometheus 3/10.

As bad as I remember from the first time around. So so many plot holes and so much stupidity

Should have been a stand alone film with no connection to the Alien films. the Engineer/Squid scene is ridiculous.

Jurassic Park 3D 10/10

Could tell it was retro adapted to 3D but it really didn't draw from the overall effect! It was fucking amazing.

Mad Max in 3D - 9/10

I loved it, shot very similar to the first one in that there's not too much talking and car battles are like the 2nd film. I thought it was proper slick and not like most action films these days.

mad max - 6/10 storyline wasn't great, some great action scenes but didn't have much else to it, rather hollow and meaningless. sure you will enjoy it if you wanna just see something that resembles a mixture of the best bits of a top gear special along with a bit of wacky races.

Birdman- A weird 8.5/10. Not ZOMG like the critics say but still enjoyed it. Good story, brilliant performances from everyone involved which can be a rare thing. Shot beautifully too which is nice. The more I think about it the more I like it.
