@Danny, thanks mate. Yeah been messaging him getting advice lol.

@Jon_C we went and picked it up in my dads nova gte and that was plenty fast enough for me for now ha.

@Darryl H, cheers just got to work out a couple of mis-understandings then work can go ahead

@Alex, I know what you meant but its going to be a learning curve more than anything, what better way to learn than on a 8v

Like I just said, Fit a cat for MOT and providing its not over fueling like mad, It will be fine.

Lots of cars have a cat without a lambda

You could, It just would fuckup within a short time due to the unburnt fuel going into it. A decent cat should bring it well within the limits though.

I thought that. The need for a cat on a car relied on the age of the engine. The engine never had one from factory so the car it's in doesn't need one. Or am I totally wrong there?

Went and bought a few parts for the engine and corsa today. Quite a list lol

Engine:

-Thermostat
-Oil
-Oil filter
-Leads
-Plugs
-Distributor cap
-Rotar arm
-Cambelt
-Water pump
-Engine paint

Also noticed the annoying humming sound has come back

So bought new Drums, Shoes and wheel bearings

Also, anyone recommend a good 4-2-1 manifold? One with alot of ground clearance ideally.

That's alot of goodies.

Make sure you get it all painted up and clean. A nice red block with a shiny dark graphite rocker cover to match your alloys.

Keep us updated mate.

Please don't do the block red, looks chavvy. A nice silver will make it look nice and fresh

Why should he do what I say? I didn't tell him to do anything anyway, I gave my opinion. He will do what he wants and not what any one else tells him to do.

Exactly right.

I haven't told him to paint it red,I've suggested to do it red as I think it might look good. My opinion as you've just had yours.

Stop stop stop

Right me and my dad were just looking at the engine, and found another thing i need

Bottom alternator pulley, like in this pic i found on google..

Does anyone know if the pulley, bolt and washer will fit off my C14NZ engine onto the GTE engine?

If not what ones will? Because obviously its harder to find nova gte parts, so if one off say a c16se mk3 astra would fit?

All help appreciated..
