Hmm, not sure about the pin striping myself. As long as you're happy with it though.

Perfect Mark, will give you a text in the week to let you know when id be round.

Pinstriping was done by myself (& im no pinstriper lol) so does look a little cheap/tacky but wanted to see if i liked it and to try a few designs before paying to have it professionally done, when the tailgate etc gets painted i'll be having the pinstriping done properly aswell, i personally love it

Nice one danny the rears looking nice and low i thought the pinstriping was a subtle way to make it stand out and so i liked it! It was good to see you again yesterday an ill see you at pvs.

Cheers Darryl a lot of measuring and marking the bonnet to get the 2 plates in the same place. Also for those interested the vent on drivers side is angles for air into the filter, passenger side is opposite for air out. That was the aim to have it done for pvs .. slight issue this morning though ive got gearbox problems so currently sourcing another F28

yeah messaged back

basically it has started knocking and the inner CV joint/diff has a lot of play in it on the drivers side, think the bearings are shot/on the way out. Noticed its been leaking oil aswell from up where the mount bolts on

Thanks Cal, yeah same I've sourced a good F28 it'll be coming out of a astra gsi LET and will be delivered to me this week, will be able to get the car ready to fit it this weekend

Update
PVS Prep:

Been putting a bit of time into the corsa for PVS, unfortunately due to courier problems my replacement gearbox still isnt here if it does turn up today i wont be fitting it for sunday as im not prepared to do a rushed job on it.
Gutting as this mean no strip action for me

tyres are here so going to get the new rubber fitted today

mirrors have been touched up and repainted


Tailgate has had a quick going over (still not perfect)


Bonnet is taking a lot more work than expected, this is because it has quite badly warped due to the heat from welding the vents in, let the picdo the talking:

metal work, we got the hammer and dolly out to knock out some of the bad bits


P40 around the vents


1st skim of ultima, across front edge due to a crease we noticed when sanding back


Rubbing it down


1st skim across vents


and blocking back, here you can see how bad it had warped, bare metal are high spots and notice the shape of the filler for the low spots. im going to have to skim both vents again and go from edge right across a good section of the bonnet to blend it out, going to take a bit more time than i first thought but i'll get it done for VBOA



whoops .. my wing fell off :/



but luckily had a replacement



Still a lot more to sort, hopefully repaint the rocker cover etc today, set up the suspension and ride height properly and start cleaning and detailing the car
