Tis a very nice unit.  BUT look out for the motor failing on you.  After about 3-4 months it MIGHT (not saying it will) jar.  Then you need to send it away to Pioneer.  Other than that its pukka pies. 
 
The sony one is shite.  They spend far too much time on the looks and not enough on the sound quality etc.... 
 
For the money i would go for a Nakamichi CD40Z  which is £369.99
