speedos are inaccurate, 1200cc engines are not fast. GET OVER IT.

God the one most annoying thing about corsa sport is all this my 1.2 can beat a 1.6 with my peco back box bullshit.

arent u the fella that reckons his sxi is running 100bhp at the wheels??

hows about speedo error on 17's?? book speed on sxi's are roughly correct - 100-105mph despite wot ur speedo is telling you

and as for 100bhp at the wheels - that wud mean u have 115-120bhp at the fly??? ud struggle to get that frm a 1.4 16v

my sxi is pushing 200bhp and could beat the lotus eeeeasily even if i was 4 up with weights in the back,

i can easily push 160mph top end

ok well i gotta get the slip for my bhp scanned then yous can see it and oh ill post a link to my speedo aswell cos you dont belive me!! this car will waste 1400 8V and runs 16.9 sec 1/4s. i bought the car like this from a guy who works for Powersystems in aberdeen

ud have to spend thousands on an sxi engine to get it to that power, i just dont believe any1 would be stupid enough when either a 1.6 16v or a 2.0 16v redtop can be transplanted for half the cost.

as for speedo pics - i wont believe any speedo pics any1 posts up on here as all speedos are in-accurate.

Ok...
First of all.... 'kid' ok... call me what you like, its the inter-net!

Second of all.... when we was 'racing' it was from about 40-110 ish. Granted it would have nailed me off of the lights, especailly as lotus say that it does 'A pleasant 4.7 to 60'.


At the end of the day, people can think what they like.

As for top speed, measured by gps (road angel) before the old turbo blew, i got 139mph by gps.... granted, did take a long time to hit 139... but got there.

i tried racing an exige in my corsa sport, i was hammering it and he was right up my arse, i couldn't do anything, came round a corner and there was a van parked in the road so we both slammed brakes on, i skidded in a straight line, but he spun his car in a cloud of smoke, was shitting my pants but we both just stopped in the road, then both drove off again at 50mph all the way back... think we both were quite shocked how lucky we were.

how did u find a stretch of road long enough and safe enough to reach that speed then if u say it took u a long time

LMFAO at that thanko bloke. Was a cheesy bell end.

I believe the punto may have gone along with the exige. Great cars, let down by a poor powered engine. Its only a 1.8 16v i think.

Lovly lookin and sounding cars though. Put it on the track and it would obliterate teh Punto.

There just not that quick when the speeds raise.

As said above... its not a normal punto. Its a 1515cc engine with a T3 turbo.
It undertook me on the roundabout doing silly speeds, so i know that it would blow me away on the track.
Lotus call it a track car for the road.
