Surely something like this will push back to software client days like limewire etc, searching for torrents through something like utorrent?

Use tor?

If you go to piratebrowser.com there's a client setup ready to go with all links etc. iirc.

Strangely im with Plusnet (BT owned) but not seeing any sites blocked (albeit I am using openDNS).

Was the court injunction given to all ISPs?

Only a handful of UK ISPs participate in blocking file sharing sites - IIRC BT, Sky, Talktalk and VM being the main ones. And as mentioned, they block tend to block at IP level so third-party DNS doesn't help.

Proxy's, proxy sites and VPN's are the only workaround.

Edit - Apparently it's six ISPs in the UK -
quote: Today that work will come to fruition when six ISPs – BT, Sky, Virgin Media, O2, EE and TalkTalk – begin blocking them at the ISP level.
