I would be too scared to use these vans posted as a van.

Could never plough onto a building site with them, get them covered in mud/dust and chuck stuff in and out of them.

Exactly, I can of see it as a waste. Why have a van so low you cannot load it with items?

I did. I used to go on sites everyday with my vans, never bothered me. It's just a bit of dirt.
Although my front splitter on my mk5 van used to catch on some bumps.
