And do you think sharks know what humans are? No. We are basically aliens to sharks for all they care.
The only difference is if an alien invaded your house you would shit yourself where as if one fell into shark infested water it would be killed

but that's to do with ridiculous quota regulations from the ridiculous EU; not just a primeval set up of hacking fins off sharks and throwing them back in.
Shark meat is actually really nice so I don't understand why they don't retain the whole thing? Its a similar dense, meaty fish as swordfish and doesn't have many bones.

I've got nothing against killing animals so I can have a nice juicey slab of steak but when its being done in a cruel way I don't like it.

Not from what I have seen. Some of my family are butchers so I have seen it happening. They aren't hacking limbs off a live animal for a start.

Zapping an animals head and then slitting it's throat is still cruel.

I was talking about normal slaughter. There are variations depending on law, animal or country.
Halal don't zap the head, they require the animal to be awake until the point of death.
Death is cruel, no matter what way something is killed.

I still think suffocating a fish to death is far more cruel than the way most livestock is slaughtered.
I never understand Pescatarians as surely its worse to die like a fish tbh
