are you mad? the non emergency number is busier than an emergency number you pleb

No i'm not mad and i'm not a pleb. What precisely is your point? If you have one, you could try to make it without being offensive if it's not too much trouble.

I'd be surprised if they'd bought used. As far as i'm aware they don't Joe.

I'd have though they've just had it a few months. Either that or it was a pre-registered dealer discount thingy. Or, it's been floating around another force for a while or started as a chief's taxi or similar.

Yeah I doubt they did to be honest, probably just an old pic. Was just pointing out to Pow who was amazed his car is newer...

Incidentally, is the million digit number really more busy than 999?

Imagine the accidents people must have had trying to write that down.

you can get the number for your local force from there website etc..

anything that doesnt require police right at that second etc...

I suppose the irony is that any call to the police is in essence, to at least one person, some sort of emergency.

Calling the law wouldn't strike me as something particularly casual.

''0118 999 881 999 119 725 3''

It's the song that does me, mainly when Moss sings it.

Yeah non emergancy number gets used loads, especially if you need to contact a certain police station or officer. 999 is for emergancy calls, waking up on a morning to find your wing mirror has been kicked off your car, or your green house window has been smashed don't really constitute emergancies.

You'd be busy at the green house window smashing instead of the emergency anyway though.

The police would be attending the old lady who's green house window got smashed, moaning about paperwork, while a real emergency was going on somewhere else.
