yeah cars made in the end of the 80's go into limp mode etc. and yes it did. since then nothing to report. has been fine.

wondered as my old corsa always had engine light on but never bothered it drove fine, seems vauxhalls are quite sensitive sometimes and light comes on for trivial things. best to not worry and see what happens

if its running limp mode and you have a cone filter i place my money on that, my brothers old v6 done that. dip the clutch and redline it, seemed to work for him.

yeah i will fix that inlet pipe though as ive been meaning to do that since, well a very long time ago. silicone ones can be purchased on ebay for about 30 quid.
edit, oh and they are in a range of colours also
