Not it's not. It's built from spare Panzer steel/iron.

That's how it can drive through a Mondeo and laugh.

My uncle just got his today, awesome car IMO. His previous 3 cars have been a MK4 Astra SRI Turbo, Astra VXR and Vectra VXR, and he says the RS is the best he has had yet.

Will get some pics at the weekend

R888 I think would be better in the long run for track use.

I disagree greatly.

You can still spin up the inside wheel (the one with least grip) even with r888s ... (thus losing drive out of the corner and the tighter line)... plus the wear rate of r888s are a bugger...

r888s on their own = good

LSD on its own = GREAT

LSD + r888 = ultimate dream team.

Kind of agree LSD has made the vts so so much better exiting corners and you can adjust your line more rather then getting to the understeer stage and just waiting

The thing which has improved the car the most for me having drivin it over all its different phases is the wheel/tyre and suspension springs, this has allowed the car to carry so much more speed, obviously the 6pots help scrub it off a bit.

would be good to see how it compares to someone like ojc's astra.

Mark,

Didn't relaize it was a raceday? Both me and my friend were driving, infact it was only once i think i was actually driving with you behind before i retired in to let things cool off

Quite alot of differences seeing as im still running the standard map, tyres and brakes...

Jr is right, i dont have anything on the JAMsport branded RS, it's my own car though

I think you mis undestood, our car is going to be faster than yours it has 6pot brakes, grippy tyres and more power, all i was saying was it was good to show that the modifications actually do make a visable improvment over the more standard car, i have alsways thought the best mods were the wheels tyres and suspension.

infact if you read on the focus site i was actually impressed with how your car was going.

I would be able to comment on the differences between both, but both owners let me down

No offence was meant btw, but i think my reasons summed up why the jamsport one was faster quite well (ie the brakes and tyres arent owned by broster )
