So hitting the kerb didnt break the steering rack no?
Maybe your NOS solenoid wasnt purged?

@ the £350 A DAY charges.Surely thats bullshit.I thought all compounds that the police use when getting a car lifted are £12 a day and £120 when the car gets lifted.
I smell a load of bullshit tbh.

The only time it will go to a police compound is if a serious crime was commited or there was a serious injury/death..
Other wise if you cant remove the car in a reasonable time and safely a 3rd party will be employed by the police to come and take the car away and they can pretty much charge what they want

Or if its Uninsured, Untaxed, Un-MOT'd, or if the driver hasn't a licence...

Your questions aren't very sensible today
Its just strange how they have impounded his car after an accident, normally the police leave it to your own recovery companies (i.e. the insurers) why is that not a sensible question?
No it's just because you said drive it away = steering was fucked
and you said was it insured = yes as he talks about how shit it was, excess etc.
Yeah.. it was cause it was in the middle of a pavement and in middle of traffic lights so they gave me a limit to move it or the recov come and take it if my AA wont take it, so much for breakdown recovery and AA insurence, aload of shit!

Nah, i was taxed, insured, had a license, just the recov depo was chargin 350pound a day so i had no choice, as i cudnt get it back to my mates house as i'd of needed a trailer as it's not road worthy, one of the wheels fucked due to the track rod. they riten it off because i couldnt afford the fees in the pound for my car, which is where the AA messed up on not helping.

it never went to a police compound, it was a RECOVERY DEPO which removed it, which the police called as it was causing a obstruction to the road, yet they never said to me how much it would cost a day for it to stay there till i get a trailer, so i ended up with a 800pound bill or give it to my insurence and write of my car which then i lose 6 no claims.

Surely somebody with nos stickers isn't old enough to have 6 years no claims.

125 pound to remove it from obstruction area to there recovery depo, (note this is 100miles away from mates house) and we rang up and said it be 350pound a day at that place.. which i thought was rediculous

His first post, if you can decipher it enough, implies that he was a named driver, so the policyholder will lose 6yrs No Claims...

Crashing on my dads insurance was the best thing I ever done.
Made me have to get my own and prices quickly dropped after the first year.

Frank and Co, came for my Car with a recovery truck which picked it up and dragged it which was a horrible experience, it was only a minor crash too.. and they charge 125 to pick it up and 350 a day, so make sure the police dont get someone to do it to you on your crash. the AA was useless, so next yr im changing my insurence on my new car.
does this make sense now to you?

TBF, if i was an insurer, i'd write it off.
The repair cost to get it done by a Garage would outweigh the value of the car.
NOS stickers probably don't help value it...

and nah it would only cost 40-50quid to fix that damage, just the AA screwed me over, by being slow and having impatient police, i cant do nothing about it now but i'd know next time.

Insurance wouldn't use used parts
The wing would be Brand new, then paint on top, then Labour
Wheel
Tyre
Suspension/Steering
It all adds up, and wouldn't have cost £40-50 to fix for the Insurance
ALL insurance companies will have the same view, not just the AA...

Nah i ment it would of only cost that much for us to fix like, not the insurence, they do it the proper professional way, if i didnt have that charge from that recov depo cud of done it myself for that, i ment.
