Great cars, 300bhp can be obtained.
Used to put in some impressive times at totb events.
Tomcats may be slightly faster, but they will also be on the hard shoulder more than an italian car with electrical problems.
Rover tomcat, or Fiat Coupe...
not realllllly a hard choice is it. Boyracer = Rover...

I'd rather an alfa GTV 3.0 v6.
A la: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1265740.htm
Look at that interior.

Was going to say this.
Best mates got one, ive drove it everywhere and in every situation.
I find them very laggy in stock form, but are quiet nippy when in the turbo range. Tend to be pretty reliable, as long they are looked after like any turbo motor should. And the quick 0-60 time is due to the limited slip diff. Give it revs and it goes.
They make the best noise ever with a stainless exhaust on them Got the raw of the engine up front, and the turbo whistle from behind, like a fighter jet
I dont think they handle very well tbh, very rolly polly, dont think they brakes are very sharpe either, but this could be due to needing new fluid or something (only every driven that one example)
More of a cruiser tbh, with straight line punch

Ive got one and love it. Got to be very well looked after and kept on top if you dont you will find a new problem every week nearly. They are very good cars for the money and i found to be quite cheap on insurance 1200 for a 20y/o not bad! Make sure the cam belts been done and all aux belts and has a full service history and the all important red key.

Best mate has a GTV, as a 6ft 2 man its a little on the cosy side and horrible if you have 3 or four people in there. Interior is nice, but i'd much soon have the Fiat.

Must be one of the 2L's, wouldn't the V6 be too nose heavy to handle well for a road car?
