I quite like the black, not sure im keen on the carbon fibre mainly because it will just look black from a distance and i would imagine it will cost a good bit more.

The thing with cosmos shop is the black of the grill is too dark for the photo so it sticks out like a saw thumb, use hue/saturation and boost up the lightness gauge

Thats actually perfect for the lighting on that area of the car as I only did a quick colour fill and set the transparency down.

Certainly isnt the best shop in the world though

its the middle of the grill that looks too dark for me, compare it with the lower grill

leave em chrome, i was thinking of doing the same to my 328

until i saw a car the same colour going the other way with matt black grills and it looked shite imo, so kept em factory

Think i'm just going to leave it & get the inner bits that have snapped replaced!!

BMW ripped me for £150-odd today for an unexpected annual check so that was the money I was going to splash on the black bits!

I had matt black surround on my silver e46 and it made it look much better IMO. Just don't like the chrome.

Nah dont do it, I like it on black M3s but on yours it looks like some one has nicked the chrome bits
