Honda for me then
Exige are a good bit dearer arn't they?
Whats the budget anyway?
Oops yes, forgot the budget
Would still choose the Honda though.

I havn't had the pleasure of driving an Elise but after driving an S2000 i'd have to go for the Elise
MAJOR tail happy car the S2000 is I floored it in the wet in 4th gear and the whole car started snaking like fuck! Might have been the tyres but it wasn't an experience i'd like to re-create.

I had the S2k for about 2 years bud. Loved it, best car ever but I broke mine and had to trade it in ASAP
You can use them every day and I would imagine that for your budget you could maybe get a phase 2 which is a bit bigger and not as harsh (better ride quality, not as noisy, more toys etc)
Mate has the Elise but only uses it at the weekend, roof leaks, unreliable but he loves it!
My recommendation is the S2k. I miss mine!

If i went for an s2k it would be an earlier one as I wouldnt want to spend as much on one I dont think.

I was offered an 07 plate one with GT pack and under 1k miles (Ex honda UK management car) for 16k a few months back....March iirc
You'd probably be able to get a cracking one for your 14k's

That is cheap but I think the fact I could pick up a 2003 model for under 10k and have change in my pocket would probably swing me towards that kind of age.

Which elise? sport 190, 135, 111s?
Why not an S1? You can get them cheaper and put the improved S2 suspension on.

I didnt like the S2000 that much. It looks great but i felt it was too twitchy and im not the biggest fan of vtec but i know some people love it, id rather have more poke low down.
Get an elise if your a badge snob or find the VX ugly, otherwise its exactly the same car as the VX except you get more car for less cash with the vauxhall. I picked up my current Turbo for just over £10k on an 03 with 20k ish miles but it is a bit of a funny colour. They are dear at the moment as its the in season, wait till winter for a better deal.

VX has a better spec, hardtop, air con, stereo etc
Hard top is optional same as elise, they dont have aircon and it would be rare to find an elise with no stereo 9k is Tidy 2.2 money i think, start at £12k for a proper one.
Word of warning though, the Elise/VX is very noisy above 50mph, has the crappest heater ever, very cramped if you have any size about you and for the first few weeks you will look like a bell end getting out If i didnt have awesome roads all round where i live mine would have gone a long time ago!

Dont think my budget stretches to the 190 versions so probably one of the lesser 160bhp ish ones. Dont want an S1 as I dont like the look of the normal S1 elise only like the S1 exige.
And I have awesome roads as I stay outside of major cities, so its all good in the hood!
