it's basically what i have on the focus, minimum guaranteed future value, fixed monthly payments for a term, give the car back when you're finished or sell it on.

other companies may be different.

As Ben G says, I've got a 4k loan which Ive still got 2 years left of paying which I took out to settle my car finance, sold the car ages ago... its shit! Mines only £100 a month though, fuck paying £250 for 60 months, that WILL get tiring!

exactly

PCP would have been much better

Thats probably why they reduced it to 11k to make the difference on finance

TBF my credit history is not brill due to a default for not paying my o2 phone bill 3/4 years ago so im always going to pay interest.

Ive had it over 60 months like with all my previous cars but usually trade in after 2-3 years and clear the finance.

They've not really given you a good deal, that'll have beenvsome bonus on getting 4k interest over 5 years. They've sold an 11k car for 15.

I've never really used finance so what's the relevance of saying they will do the car for £11K if you are paying £15K?

Best thing you can do is get a joint account & put in an equal amount each per month to pay for the household bills. Anything over and above is your to do as you wish. That's what me & Jade do so theres no silly squabbles about who can pay what for a car etc. Its your car, nothing to do with her

Thay said i can still go on PCP if i wanted, it would work out at £277pm over 3 years. They did say that its works out roughly the same to go on a 5 year HP and trade in after 2.5-3 years and settle the outstading balance. Personally for me the payments are more manageable at £248 over £277.
