Anyone paying 5k for a 13 year corsa needs their heads tested.

What about the guy that spent (I'm guessing) about £10k doing it? And every other person that's spent thousands restoring and doing up older cars.
One of those horses for courses things tbh.

Money spent doing things to the car does not equal what the car is worth.

I never once said that or implied it. Just that someone out there might fancy this and they could potentially save a bit of money by buying it ready done.

Idiots. Worth 5k all day long, its not just your average corsa. If we are going by most your opinions, the majority of corsas on here can only be worth £300-500.

The majority on here are only worth 500 quid.

Ok, it's an above average looking/performance corsa. It's had money spent on it but mods and stuff don't bump up the price that much

Spending 10K on a 13 year old corsa not seem a bit extravagant to you let alone silly?

Even though this is Corsasport.co.uk there is so much corsa hate!
People dont moan when they see 15 year old golfs, escorts and fiestas that have had a pretty penny spent on them....

corsa_tomtom - Yes mate, totally. I like my Vauxhalls, but if I was spending that sort of money on a motor I'd be branching out a bit. But certain people like certain things and are willing to spend the money on them - you've got to admit it'd be a pretty boring place if no one was doing this sort of thing!

It's nothing to do with corsa's spcifically.
Although I think you'd have to be nuts to spend 10x what the car is worth on mods for anything that's that old, I don't care how people spend their money.
It doesn't make the car worth any more though.

Its not too far off the mark on price, i doubt he will get 5K for it though but not far off. Nick J just sold his concourse red nova for just under 5k.
If you wanting to build a concourse Corsa then i would buy this, there is no way you could build one for that price and your pretty much there already with this one. So, it is worth around 5k to the right person.

I understand its a hobby and all that and people will spend silly amounts of money on cars and respect that, i've done it myself, but then asking for £5K for it is just ridiculous imo.

Its not really, although he i doubt he will get 5K, probably about £4.5. Its worth that all day long to the right person

It does though....
Take this for example
A standard Evo - £20k
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1170925.htm
A modified Evo - £40k
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1192831.htm
Now before you say thats an Evo and not a corsa....

I'm sure someone will buy it at near 5k but in reality its not worth it. And like people say its worth that much to someone.

That's totally different.
If you showed me a standard evo for 5k and one with an engine transplant and a wash at 25k I'd agree.
In this case you've shown me an 800 bhp evo which is only double the price of a standard example, the corsa is about 5x a standard one.

Why the hell has it got webers on it instead of some itbs if he's spent so much on it? cant see the logic there.
Regardless of how clean it is or whatever its not a rare or heavily saught after car.

At the end of the day it is a one off corsa not your usual rubbish xe thats just been thrown.
Worth 5k all day long especially when you sit down and work out how much your corsa stands you at and what you could buy with what you have spend on your corsa.
I just hope someone decent buys it and looks after it.
