I've always bought from a dealer so would be happier to do that tbh. And as I say, the hassle of selling the Golf at short notice would tempt me into just part-ex'ing it even if it means a bit less cash.

Just tried to get a quote with Chris Knott, you have to be 25 and have a years experience in a different 'suitably powerful' car. Gay

Nowt wrong with the Astras on track.
I was highly impressed as a standard FWD road car. Takes some punishings.
Good point, gotta book another one before Donna sells hers... Brands hmmmmm.

Didn't say there was - its half the reason I want the car
Just stuck on insurance a bit now, was hoping Chris Knott would come up trumps and knock the quote down to £1000 max. £1200 is a bit much tbh.

ollie speaks sense.
Astons ftw. Thats a 59plate with no pev owners, garunteed not to have twatted a kerb in the ice and be brand spankers with a warrenty.
Deprciation is all well and good but factor into that the fact the car comes with 4new tyres, new brakes front and rear, no MOT for 3years, no funny smells noises or lost keys etc and from a dealer you have legal comeback.
Not to mention the facelifts have a much nicer interior and nicer wheels.
Makes perfect sense.

Direct line wouldn't quote me on anything over a 1.6 until I was 25 so doubt you'll have much luck. LV were really good for me last year and heard other people have good experience with them

Well Flux have to call me back, filled in all the details with Greenlight so will see what they say.
Looks like my total loss claim last year is costing me dear though, even with protected no claims
