The point of the thread wasn't what kind of person YOU think drives one it was what they're like to drive, i personally havn't driven one so wondered what other people that HAVE driven one thought.

theyre crap to drive. and they look gay. what else do you need to know? buy a civic or a real crx. even the honda people consider the del-sol to be a faggots car. ask them.

A mate of mine had one for a good few years, just had it lowered a tad, different wheels, seats, exhaust and a induction kit. Sounded good.
Someone else I know has a kitted one, looks a bit shit, but they could look good with some effort

Nics just jealous of not having vtec   , n ive got 3 mates with them and there alright but not as quick as the b16 civics, think the vti's are suppost to be around 170bhp but seem to go as fast as the d16 civic which are about 140bhp, basically if u want vtec get an eg/ek civic or b series integra, and if u get a mk2 crx dont get the glass roof ones because they leek. n if ure looking for turbo vtec my mates got a white eg civic with a d16 turbo for sale

insurance on them is shit. but i think of vtec as being a less complicated, cheaper more reliable lil turbo to rag the shit out of. but that might just be me

can be made to look cool but still a gay looking car, would rather a civic or a proper crx, engines are bullet proof and ripe for a thrashing, handle well for what they are, common issues:rust

they can be done well, but i'm not a massive fan overall. i'd be going for the civic or mk2 CRX equivalent.
if you like it though then get one, its only you thats going to be driving it, nobody else

i have had one (the 1.6 vtec) b16, not very quick imo,
did sound nice tho with a full powerflow exhaust,
in the end i think i had it about 3 week, just didnt like the drive and the fact the handbrake is on the passanger side, so everytime you put the handbrake down you end up stroking your passangers leg! 
i also didnt think the acceleration was any good and tbh vtec is MASSIVELY overrated, was a huge dissapointment imo,
there an ok car if you can it (very) cheap, if not then DEFINATELY go for the original crx

just get a 4-2-1,exhuast,decat n sum itr cams n gears & t.b,, then ya see

Gay banter aside, I'd not be getting a del sol. You could easily get a proper CRX or a VTi Civic for around the same price and they are far better. Especially the CRX!
