You think you get a good deal then the week after there is a newer model with fewer miles

None of those have Honda warranty with them though?

i dont reckon u could have looked properly mate, that was in 2 mins on pistonheads.

Thanks,

The only positive comment so far

Lol tbh you obviously love it, so f*ck what everyone thinks, as long as it puts a smile on your face

Looks to be a lovely motor, good luck with it

I think you're right I do like it - I got to finally experience VTEC in the 2ltr today and I was impressed!

I know a lot of peeps on here aren't fans of them but I have given up on spending any more dough on the corsa! It's just too much hassle for me anyways as im not very mechanically minded!

The Civic Type R ticks all the boxes for what I wanted:
- Something Quicker
- Something Bigger
- Something Different!

Tis all good

It may seem over priced in comparison to some of the other examples but I am happy with it - a lot of the examples I saw were either the newer facelift models with higher mileage or tacky or older models with lower mileage but not as well spec'd

I used the filter on pistonheads - that car was the nearest and the best spec'd

Yea auto-trader, ebay didn't find much near me tbh went to local garages etc and didn't find much at all! I did see some nicer models a few 2005 plate ones with similar mileage but they were close to 10k

It's ok - I only put £100 down to hold it for a couple of weeks

He's a nice chap, a guy from London went to view the car and offered £6,600 and he wouldn't take it!

Tbh I'll probably still buy it, Barnshaw thanks for encouraging me to look elsewhere before commiting 100%!

I was impressed with the way the car has been looked after yes it's 6 years old but has only done 44k has warranty (which is being transferred across) and has just had a big service done (50k service) it is kept in a locked and alarmed garage I just get the feeling the car is a gem

its your money mate, i paid over the odds for a bmw once but it was a minter and tbh i have no regrets. You just wana see people get the best deal they can when they are buying a car. its alot of money and you should take your time looking , best of luck with it though.

Thanks mate, I think I already made a mistake when I bought my corsa which had no service history, average condition and average mileage however now I will have to live with this when I come to sell the car in a few weeks...
