I was doing quotes with my current ensurer, on my current car, to see what it'll be when I have 2 NCB. However when renewal is up, I'll no longer be a student. So my renewal was about £500, fair enough, as a student. However when I change it to marketing assistant (or any non-student profession for that matter) it jumped to £1700.
Thats unreal
Im 19, 1 years NCB, Saxo VTS mods declared and its under £1300 with adrian flux.

Some places want a tracker fitted, some didn't ask at all and were cheaper than ones that required one

Your stats for the insurance should be very similar to mine (age, NCB, girlfriend on it too?) so if you were to go ahead with the 2.0DTi it shouldnt be anymore than £650 - mine is £500 because I have a nice postcode and its parked on the driveway

With regards to job occupation on car insurance..
When people change jobs throughout a policy; do they actually and suppose to ring up insurers to let them know. seems abit drastic... similar to the "where you keep your car overnight" question. and would they seriously check after a claim with regards to job occupation etc?
