Needed something cheap to run but still quick as we'd just bought a house. Astra fitted the bill nicely.

It has 4 wheels, some doors and an engine if that helps.

Didn't realise insurance was as cheap as it was. And I've always liked them.

I hated corsa's with a passion, but this was very cheap for the spec, and the torsion bar had just fell apart on my AX and I couldn't be bothered with fitting ANOTHER one so I bought the corsa!

I wanted an engine that wouldnt blow up, but that was still cheap to buy, run and service, so an Astra diesel made sense. Decent size inside as well and gives off a more mature image.
And turbo whistle

Firts thing was the looks, I personally think its one of the nicest lookin cars out there.
The power out the box and the potential for more for little cash also swayed me, Big brembos, 18" alloys and the ease of back doors for a change.

The Astra, because it was cheap and I missed having a convertible.
Puma, because I didn't want to track anything from the current fleet. And it was cheap.
