i've got this alot lately, on the A1,
sitting at 90ish and some one up my ass, stamp on the pedal and they usually get the point, or try under taking me and i boot it and leave them no where to go
when the fact is when they get past me they'll be waiting behind the person i was following.
Wankers.
no need for it.

ok i should have explained the situation but to anwer my own questions from the replies i guess there is no means of reporting the driver.
it was an a country B road with constant traffic flowing in the opposite direction (i am fortunate that everyone isnt going in the same direction as me) thus no space for him to overtake, not that he really needed to as i wasnt hanging around.
although he didnt flash his lights or honk i did apply light brake pedal pressure to indicate he was too close for my comfort which was ignored. i then slowed (he got closer) and pushed on to increase the gap which was quickly reduced. he was just a monster on the road bullying anyone in his way

What car was the other person in? Just sounds like they were out having a bit of a thrash to me. If it was me i would have got out of the way.

I love tailgaiters.
They are either much faster than me and can pass at their leisure or they can't pass and I wind them up.
I wouldn't report them though, just give them some friendly wanker signs if I felt the need.

Especially if your car only does 70-80

Best way to deter the pricks. Accelerate as normal, but just lightly touch the brakes and it looks like you're slamming them on but really you're keeping the same speed.

My left braking ends up with my face going through the screen so I don't think that'd be a good idea
If I'm on my bike I just drop it down a cog and accelerate away, although I'm usually going too fast to have tailgaters anyway...
Same in car tbh...it only annoys me being tailgated when I'm being held up by somebody infront. How the fuck can it be my fault we're doing 70 in the outside lane when I'm also wanting to do 90...

This has to be the thing that annoys me the most about driving. I usually slam the brakes on and the soon back off or just slow right down to wind them up even more lol.
Had a 3 series BM right on my bumper not long ago flashing me when I was doing the limit. Pulled over in the end. Cant concentrate when I've got someone inches away from my bumper

Surely people saying they 'slam' or 'stamp' on their brakes aren't doin this at 70mph on the motorway? The majority of the poeple that tailgate me are so close that any sort of real braking would cause them to shunt me.

These are occasions when driving a tank would come in handy. Why pull over/slow down for them etc., when you can just reverse OVER them!

Well thanks for that. I didn't realise this before. I may look into these as my next purchase.

no one slams on there brakes on here, it's a car enthusiasts site after all and no one wants their pride and joy rear ended.
they just tap the brakes gently which works (as proved by an alfa romeo that nearly lost control when i done it )

and the fact that they are about as slow as deanos 12v wouldn mean that people could overtake you with ease doesn't mean anything no?

I don't like doing it but have flashed people out of the way over here. But then when you're hammering along at 140+ and they're doing 80 with nothing up the inside they need shifting.
If you don't, it's odds on you're gonna have someone else sat up your arse whilst you're stuck behind them.
It's just poor driving and observation, if you see something coming up quickly, either move or don't go to overtake that slow lorry on the dual carriageway til they've gone past. Anticipation of the actions of the other drivers on the road is greatly overlooked I find.
If you're on a single lane road doing a decent speed and someone's still being a badger behind you then I understand people's annoyance. Flicking on the windscreen washers is a good way to make them drop back, I never hit the brakes as that's just as much of a wankerish dangerous thing to do as tailgating in the first place.

Any one who sits on my arse while I am doing the speed limit is met by extreme braking, Tailgaters are complete cocks who should be stabbed in the eyes with a compass.
I have never been flashed at for doing the speed limit and would never flash at some one, I'm usually slowed down by people doing 30-40 on my local roads as they are twisty and no where to overtake but there's no need to drive up their arse and flash at them, That's just pure fucking twattish.

Only really had one tailgater that really annoyed me and that was some blonde bint in one of those mitsubushi colt convertible things lol and I was making good progress (on the M4) overtaking everything going shit slow on the left.
Pulled out on someone once by accident beeping and everything lol - last time I pull the finger out on someone as he turned around and chased me a few miles down the motorway!
