Not a hatch, but Honda integra type R - DC5

LSD, Brembo 4 pots, quick rack, recaro seats, 220bhp and a 6 speed close ratio box all as standard

thanks for the suggestions guys

think its going to be between a clio 197 and a mini cooper s

fancied a corsa VXR but think they are a bit to "halfordsy" for my liking.

I like the understated, yet sporty look of the Clio and the handling is supposed to be awesome. Dont know whether I would prefer a "197 cup" for the performance or a "197 full fat" for luxuries like xenons, climate, etc. Dont know which colour I would go for either, had my heart set on the a white car but like them in both blues and liquid yellow.

If I went for the cooper S, it would have to be in grey. Only thing that is putting me off is that for the price I would pay for a 2008 reg Clio, I would only get a 2006 reg Mini (out of warranty, etc) Is that worth worrying about?

Out of the 2, which would people go for and what colour, spec, etc

I personally think that mini is overpriced. I'd sell mine for 10.5k ish, and it's got 19,000 miles, warranty, free servicing, KW coilovers, Brand new TD's with michelin exalto's, harmon hardon, limited slip diff option, works package..

Give me a PM if your interested .

what does that tell you though? in 2 years time that clio would be worth less than the mini even though the mini is an older car. plus the clio will fall apart and the mini will keep on truckin. the build qaulity on them is very very good.

Only other car to consider is a CTR i guess, but my money would still go on the mini.

No, it's not up for sale but i'd let it go as i really need to start trying to be sensilbe and saving for a house deposit. IF it went i would get another though as it's awesome to drive and easily tunable than most aswell.

Ive just sold my RB 182 to buy a house, complete 1st August then will be looking for a motor again soon after.

Like this guy ive been tempted by the 197 F1 and after going out in my brothers 1.6 Turbo Tigra im even more tempted by the corsa VXR but i think ive decided on another JCW.

Nightmare having gone to driving a 1.7D corsa at the moment though

Not a proper hot hatch
but for 10k you can pick up a freshly imported silvia S15
BEAUTIFUL car!
300bhp on tap
and some drifting fun too if your feeling brave
Thats where I'd be spending my money!

Sorry had to say it, before anyone has a go, my bro had a v6 156, which broke a lot, so I know what alfa's are like

he didnt look after it then, its generally the neglected ones that have the problems, i.e snapped belts

That Hyundai is as sporty as Lisa Riley tbh.

Rob's Mini sounds nice.
