What was the speed limit on the road you got clocked on? If they're saying they got you at 140mph I'm guessing it's a road that you'd be able to do that speed on - such as a motorway or dual carraigeway, which would most likely be a 70 limit...? So 75 wouldn't get you pulled in the first place.

Were the police behind you, clocking you at the supposed speed, or did you go past them then they pulled you further up the road?

After reading everything in here you think he's going to get fined? Either he's lying massively or the police are noising him up. I'd say it's the latter.

nip can be verbal. If he said your rights and expect a summons then you will more than likely recieve one in 5months and 2weeks time.

They could be shitting you up, happened to me. But you wont know that till November mate.

i would have to agree, they let you get to the feeling of "ooo, iv got off this" then you'll get a letter through the post.

yes you will get a fine, through the court and poss a ban of some kind. if they were to fine you, they would have issued you a ticket there and then. like a normal speeding ticket blah blah.

expect the worse, (shit yourself up and learn from it) and if nothing comes of it, be very lucky you got a warning.
