Yeah, running costs are on the high side!
Last time my car was in I had:
Coilovers
Discs and pads all round
Hotchkis ARB's
Stage 2 Remap
Drivers side intercooler
That came to about £5k if I remember rightly. The warranty company paid for the suspension though so it cost me about £3k ish? 
To be fair, Grizz at unit20 (www.unit20.org) is pretty cheap on his labour, its the parts that are so expensive! OE parts seem to be the only ones that last!!
Had a shot in a 680bhp C6 though the other day and I reckon with an exhaust too it will make 700bhp! The minute they drop under £50k and I can find a nice one Im going to take the plunge! DMS claim 3.9 to 60 and 7.9 to 100 which is only marginally quicker than mine but the way it pulls through 100 is mental!
I still think the gearbox is going to be a weak point though!
