Yeah there is sound, just every so often.
Someone comes on and gives a verbal update every so often.
You also get to hear the communications between Atlantis and Mission Control.
They done the nose a few hours ago, we're on the wings. The shuttles divided into 7 sections to cover.
You lot missed some truley excellent shots about an hour ago, as the arm swung from 1 wing to the other. It had the whole of the rear end of the shuttle in shot, with the earth behined that. Then asthe arm swung out the shuttle moved out of shot so it was pure earth under the camera.

BG was good in season 1 (or the original film).
It got worse, the ending was truley awful.
Stargates where its at (or Atlantis if you like spacey stuff ).
We can all be space geeks together (pops spot in mirror and turns to computer to play WOW some more......... ).

All of BG was awesome. I think the ending was perfect and made perfect sense.
Only bit I didn't like was the part where Starbuck turned into an angel or pigeon or whatever.

space brings out the geek in me, its fascinating. i can spend hours looking through astronomy pictures and wondering, or watching videos on the big bang.
people just think 'oh yeah space' but when you look into it, its immense. the fact we are alive is a miracle imo.

I love a good conspiracy theory.
People have telescopes and will be watch everything that happens in space, somebody on the ground would see any UFO NASA did.
I'm watching just now when it's docking with the space station.
Riveting stuff if you're into it but I can imagine it being extremely boring for the majority of people.

I watched that too last night.
Theres a lot of space to cover out there, Nasa only covers a bit of it each year, so those people with 2ft telescopes claiming the've seen captin spock usually live out, alone and are a little weird

I've seen Spock, he was on my TV at lunchtime. But I turned over to Bravo and watched A-Team instead. Love those M14's with banana magazines.

That is an awesome question.
If you do a google search, there is a poster floating about that has all the main ships from the main Sci-Fi films/mini series over the years.
The biggest is the Super Star Destroyer at the top.
But anyway, going back to your question.
For me, I always liked Space Above & Beyond as the technology always looked very feasible and the USS Saratoga always managed to take a good battering much like Galactica.

I remember SA&B
Was good for the first season, damn TIGS? God thats some years back. I preffered Babylon5 during the shadow wars season.
Super Star Destroyer is not from earth though. Im talking ski fi EARTH ships.
Opening all ships up is a different ball game
See Galaticas strong, but slow.
Promethius is not as strong, but much quicker, and stronger singular guns (asgaurd)
Enterprise is the fastest, but the weakest in terms of defence and attack.
Excaliber was pretty ard, but bloody slow.
Mega geekage. Raises hand...

Enterprise and the crew have fought off many more powerful ships.

Enterprise has speed though, it rarely has to get into a fight unless it wants to.
I stopped watch Babylon 5 wish I hadn't as I missed out on loads of good stuff. I remember the shadows coming into it, but that's as far as my memory allows me to go.
Got to be the USS Saratoga for me. Loved the weapons systems.

Enterprise ALWAYS needs help Usally from 2-3 other ships, and plays a tatical game over sheer power. Knows its enemys weekness and uses that.
BL5 was at its best during the shadow wars. Lots of space fighting scenes/
Looky what i just found....
