the sri and vxr must be nearly the same engine, I really doubt vauxhall would spend £££ designing an entirly new engine for something that they know would not be bought as much as the vxr.

If you google vauxhall engine codes it comes up with a migweb thread explains the letters

Z16ler is essentially euro 4, 1600cc, 10:11 or something like that compression and then the r is increased output

I'm just suprised it's not a t for turbo on either

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Somebody said he had beaten a D sri T in his C sri, in a straight line, all other things being equal, the D would win, standard for standard, nobody has said anything about a non standard one

mine is a corsa c sri 1.8 petrol, the lad i raced is from round here and his is a 1.6t sri corsa d, i won it when we raced and second time we raced i was sat on him and he couldnt leave me, they are quick but its a heavy car imo, they are only 150 bhp i think, mine is 135bhp nearly, not much difference between us, i didnt say i beat a vxr because i didnt, i raced one and it won me,

standard C sri = 123bhp - 122lb/f
standard D sri = 148bhp - 155lb/f
You might be right actually corsa C = 1100kg corsa D = 1350kg , what a heavy car for a hatchback, that about the same as my bmw.

I thought he was on about the comment about a tuned sriT being about as quick as a VXR.

but yea the trims are different, as is the suspension, exhaust and wheels.

yeah i see what youre saying, but surely you could map the sri turbo and it would take it to a vxr as you said, but surely if you map the vxr . . . sri turbo

and i agree with the comments about having to get the arden blue vxr . . . but there is also the vxr arctic

Why do some people just talk total shit on here? Whenever a car that is mentioned there is at least one "I raced one" post!

It was parkers I pulled the figures from, they could be equally as incorrect but they sound a bit more realistic.

There will be some engine differences as the codes are different.. Probably be injectors and some lubrication mods on the bottom-end, Nothing you couldnt replicate.

I liked the corsa vxr until i drove one!

Felt like driving a people carrier inside! really high up as well

Althougth it did go well low down, but i can see the 1600 struggling 100+mph

Really firm ride for a standard car as well.

Corsa Sri interior i thought was awful with that red crap everywhere

it does struggle at higher speeds. i had a play with one from a 20mph rolling start and it was almost level until 60-70 then it started going backwards. very good car up to the max speed limit though
