i dont see why they would have "tax detection" cameras if its ok to drive without tax...doesnt make sense to me but i honestly dont know the law

i got a leaflet from DVLA saying that they give me 5 days after tax runs out.. infaact we got one leaflet for each of our cars

No you can't.

They recently changed it that if you order the tax online you can drive for 5 days while waiting for it to come in the post.

as long as youve bought it online, as it will show on the system as being taxed (this rule only applys for the first 5 days of the month)

No,not sure what you're supposed to do cant tax as insurance documents haven't arrived in the post yet but have the mot certificate and new keeper supplement what does the law suggest you do? cant go without a car

You shouldn't be driving if you don't know you can't drive without tax tbh, it's a basic requirement.

If you need the car you should have made sure it was all arranged.

How can I arrange it when I bought the car on saturday and the tax runs out tuesday and the insurance documents haven;t arrived hmmmmmm....

You need an insurance certificate to tax the car:

You cannot tax your vehicle until your insurance certificate arrives or your insurance cover for your vehicle has been updated on the Motor Insurance Database. You must keep your vehicle off the road in the meantime.
