I raced an ST in my corsa when it was an xe. It wasn't keeping up with me, the over driver was a mate. He was 3 up though & i had my interior stripped out.

when i have a full tank of fuel in and full car (4 people including me) it feels about as quick as a 1.2 corsa makes a huge difference though when theres only a quarter tank in and just me

I do agree with you daimo, at the moment ive spent a fair amount on my car, and am about to get alot of paintwork done for around £450. Which i can justify spending, just when it comes to £1500 for an engine, fitted etc etc etc, thats a hell of alot money, especially when the car only cost me £995.

In a way, id like to not spend more than the car is worth on mods, but then thats the problem, if you want to do a conversion on a corsa, you are always 99.9% of the time, going to spend more than the car is worth!

Decisions decisions

why not just sell yours and buy a corsa thats already XE'd?

you can pick up a reasonably tidy one for £1200, and £2000-£2500 will get you a minter.

id never consider xe'ing mine, thats what id do anyway.
