for what they are there underpowered, they drink fuel because the box is so short ratio, especially if your doing motorway driving.

my mate had a frozen white one with all the extras on and i could never warm to it, felt like a normal fiesta in side, had no end of problems with it, most electrical related, felt cheap for the money.

then at 13,000 miles it threw a rod through the block at about 80 on the motorway, hot oil on the exhaust, went on fire, fucked motor, burnt loom, paintwork burnt.

was a waste of money IMO they were fords hot hatch, and the only time the fucker was hot was when it caught fire.

TDCi ones are much nicer, nippy, good MPG, better value for money IMO

It seems your mate was very unlucky tbh...never ever heard of that, that just seems to me what you have formed your opinion.

Obviously I don't care too much if that's what you think but they aren't that bad. Yeah they are underpowered, due to Ford in their wisdom restricting the air flow to reduce the insurance group, but you can get round this.

I get 300 miles out of a tank which is about £35 to fill, I don't think that's juicy at all tbh.

obviously with a few bits, cossie inlet, eibachs, decent tyres, exhaust, filter sure it would make a great hot hatch.

but just think theres alot nicer and better quality out there for the money.

as said a zetec-S tdci i wouldent mind, just never warmed to ST's.
