I can afford it but its going to be quite alot a month ontop of a massive deposit.

The M3 I can see it being as all my previous cars have costing me a good bit a month in other things needing/not needing but getting done anyway, & me wishing id bought something newer!

Either way, its going to take lots of cash thrown at it!!

Oh buy the bloody RS. You obviously want it more than anything else and will never forgive yourself and be kicking yourself silly on yer death bed if you don't buy it.

You not read the reviews SVM?

Its being acclaimed to be a very capable car!!

DR - 'Power delivery like that of a 996 turbo'

Evo - 'The harder I went in the RS, the more impressed I became'!

Pistonheads -
Everything in the RS works so well together and the car feels in total harmony with itself, refusing to throw up any surprises. If you need further proof that the RS is quick it is worth mentioning that it has proved faster than any other Blue Oval-badged car ever built around the firm’s Route Seven handling circuit at Lommel, and that includes the 205mph GT. On tarmac it has the same roll stiffness as the ’06 WRC car too.

The burning question is this: should it have been four-wheel drive? After witnessing the car’s astonishing grip, turn-in, sure-footedness and overwhelming fun-factor it is difficult to see what power to two more wheels would actually bring. In fact I’ll go one further and say that there is a real danger all-wheel drive would actually spoil a perfect mix.'

Never thought i'd say this, but its got to be the RS.

It will be brand new, and have a real WOW factor, whereas every fecker is driving an M3 these days.

And tbh all the good reviews i'm hearing about it make me think its maybe not as bad as my VXR tinted glasses make me think it is.

RS all the way...even tho i'm not a big fan.

AND the sooner you get your finger out and order it the sooner you will get it!

I think you owe it to yourself and to us to finally buy the RS. I think its what you want deep down so just go for it.

Personally I'd look elsewhere for £25k but you seem to have your heart set on it. Do it!

M3. You won't look out at your drive each day and feel vaguely disappointed that the wrong wheels are sending the power to the road.

Very true...the man has a point!! I think I need one last turbo'd hooligan machine before then moving accross to big engined lazy (but fast) cars like an M3 or such like.

The RS does look awesome and the joy of picking up your brand new, spotless RS would be

However!!! Personally I would be looking at the devaluation figures. The price tag will be what?? 27k-30k after all the trims and extras. I dont want to be negative as money isnt everything but I would watch out carefully when buying a brand new car as the regression will cause alot of cars to devalued quicker than in previous years.

The M3... its the sensible option (compared to the RS). Decent car all round and at a damn good price considering how much they we're going for a year or two back.

New RS or old-ish M3.... chalk and cheese or what lol.

If you aint fussed about the purchase/devaluation figures then go for the bloody RS. You have been mad about for ages!!!! The last thing you want is to be driving along in your modest M3 whilst a 22 year old spoilt brat zooms passed in his new RS.

You only live once... if you can afford it then go for it mate!

If the RS is anything like previous RS's then it wont depreciate anything like your average brand new car

'IF' I buy a brand new RS, i'll probably keep it for a while, like 4yrs. Im not ging to be too worried about depreciation so long as I keep it until its paid off & I get at least say 10k out of it to put down a deposit on the next one!!

I think ive decided on an RS anyway. Its just I keep seeing mint M3's for little money & thinking 'now theres a good idea'.

Im going to order one I think in the coming weeks, though probably for 59 plate delivery!! That im not fussed about ive waited this long I can wait another 6 months!

If you don't buy the RS you'd kick yourself every day.

If you're not sure, then the decision has already been made

To put it shorter (slightly): You want the RS so buy it
